The Sacrament of Baptism is often called “The Door of the Church,” because it is the first of the seven sacraments not only in time but in priority, since the reception of the other sacraments depends on it. Once baptized, a person becomes a member of the Church.
Infant Baptisms are celebrated on the third Saturday of the month at 11:00am. Parents/guardians of the child/infant must attend a baptism preparation class held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00pm-7:00pm prior to the scheduled baptism unless parties have been notified in advance. Please check the bulletin, call or email us for baptismal preparation class updates.
godparents are also required to attend the baptismal preparation session. If godparents live outside the parish boundary, they have the option to attend the preparation session at their own parish and provide written confirmation from the parish that they attended a preparation session.
