Emily June 8, 2016 - 11:04pm

There is still time to celebrate Best Friend Day and take it right through the evening.

Wise Words from St. Philip Neri

Emily May 26, 2016 - 11:53am

We  honor St. Philip Neri's Feast day today.  A saint whose desire was that his followers would become more human (not less)  through their striving for holiness.

"Let me get through today, and I shall not fear tomorrow"

Our saint of the day is St. Philip Neri, a man who combined popularity with piety.  As a youth he chose to devote his life and individuality to God ultimately being ordained into the priesthood where many prominent figures of his day sought his advice.  His characteristic virtues were humility and gaity.

You have taken away our fears

to share our faith and our love

in Our Lord above.
